WTO members have raised concerns again about the U.S. tariff measures, and China stated that the so-called "reciprocal tariffs" seriously undermine the multilateral trading system
According to authoritative sources, at the World Trade Organization (WTO) Market Access Committee meeting held on the 13th and 14th local time, Canada, the European Union, and Norway jointly raised the issue of "global trade fragmented by tariffs and their costs," expressing concerns about the impact of U.S. tariff measures and the uncertainty they create for global trade, while emphasizing the importance of a rules-based multilateral trading system. Members including Switzerland, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and China spoke on this matter. The Chinese side stated at the meeting that the so-called "reciprocal tariffs" implemented by the United States severely undermine the multilateral trading system and disrupt the accessibility of global supply chains and the functioning of the world economy.
