Tencent Vice President Li Qiang: This year will be the critical point for the explosion of integrated entrepreneurial industries

As the window for comprehensive independent innovation approaches, the critical point for the explosion of integrated innovation industries is getting closer. Last year, Tencent Cloud clearly proposed to combine integrated innovation with AI and going global as the main growth channel for the future, which will undoubtedly usher in a harvest period.

On May 13, at the Tencent Cloud Integrated Innovation Summit, Li Qiang, Vice President of Tencent Group and President of Enterprise Business, pointed out to Wall Street Insights that listed companies participating in integrated innovation are experiencing rapid growth, which is an obvious signal of the current development of the integrated innovation industry. In addition, domestic manufacturers, including Tencent, continue to increase R&D investment, and the capabilities of the entire integrated innovation ecosystem are gradually rising.

However, regarding the current market competition in the field of integrated innovation, Li Qiang stated that it is not very intense.

He mentioned that in the field of integrated innovation, Tencent Cloud is one of the few cloud service providers that invest significantly, and the entire market for integrated innovation covers a wide range, including chips, servers, software and hardware, application software, etc., with a large volume. Each company has different focuses, and Tencent has not considered full participation, but rather plays to its strengths in software.

It is reported that Tencent Cloud has built a full-stack integrated innovation software system, including basic software "6T," which comprises database TDSQL, operating system TencentOS, proprietary cloud TCE, proprietary cloud PaaS platform TCS, big data TBDS, and Tencent Cloud TI platform, all of which are currently compatible with mainstream domestic software and hardware ecosystems; application software includes Tencent Meeting, WeChat Work, Tencent Docs, Tencent LeXiang, and more.

As of March this year, Tencent has a total of 105 products in the software and hardware map of the Work Committee, ranking at the forefront among integrated innovation manufacturers in terms of industrial supply capacity; it has obtained 2,045 mutual certification certificates, making it one of the most important manufacturers in the domestic ecosystem.

At the same time, for different industries and scenarios, Tencent Cloud has also jointly created 65 replicable industry solutions with more than 50 partners, covering over 30 industries including government affairs, finance, healthcare, education, energy, and transportation, reducing the threshold for industry upgrades and accelerating the promotion of independent innovation upgrades across the entire industry.

Today, Tencent Cloud's full-stack domestic software system has established numerous industry benchmark cases in finance, transportation, government affairs, healthcare, energy, media, and other sectors.

In addition, to respond more quickly to customers' needs for independent innovation upgrades, Tencent has established an integrated innovation dealer system covering 28 provinces and all industries, developing a large number of professional channel partners with experience in privatized product sales and services, aiming for full coverage in the next two years.

Li Qiang pointed out that in the market strategy for integrated innovation, Tencent Cloud first aims to establish benchmarks. Once these industry benchmarks are formed, Tencent Cloud will promote them nationwide in collaboration with partners, helping them quickly penetrate various provinces and cities to cover more markets Integrated innovation is a vast "blue ocean" market.

In recent years, domestic independent innovation has become the most important and urgent strategy in the technology sector. Since 2022, various departments of the state have introduced a series of policies closely related to domestic independent control and integrated innovation.

At the end of September 2022, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission issued an important document No. 79, requiring that by 2027, central state-owned enterprises must complete 100% of the information technology replacement, covering areas such as chips, databases, big data, and operating systems.

This also means that starting from 2023, the information technology upgrade of the integrated innovation industry will shift from "key links and partial markets" to "the entire industrial chain and all industries," fully constructing a domestic independent IT standard and service ecosystem.

Li Qiang stated that since the integrated innovation industry entered the stage of large-scale promotion in 2020, driven by both policies and the digital upgrade of enterprises, China's integrated innovation industry has developed rapidly, forming a complete ecological system from basic software and hardware to core application systems.

"Chinese-made software has accumulated strength and is now emerging, not only achieving safety and reliability but also accelerating the transition from usable to user-friendly," Li Qiang believes that today, the window period for comprehensive independent innovation is increasingly approaching, and the integrated innovation industry is continuously advancing in both "vertical depth" and "horizontal expansion." The year 2025 will be the critical point for the industry's explosion.
