A survey by Bank of America Merrill Lynch shows that global investors are pulling out of U.S. stocks at a record pace: the net exposure to U.S. stocks held by 164 institutional investors (with assets under management of $386 billion) has dropped by 53 percentage points in two months, marking the largest decline ever. They have currently reduced their holdings in U.S. stocks by 36%, the lowest level since May 2023
