Google develops AI model to converse with dolphins

According to an April 14 report from the American magazine Popular Science, a brand new large language model artificial intelligence system may soon enable communication between humans and dolphins. In the coming months, researchers will test whether "DolphinGemma" and its accompanying cetacean auditory enhancement telemetry system can translate and mimic some of the complex vocalizations of this mammal. If successful, this breakthrough could mark the culmination of over 40 years of research, documentation, and conservation efforts
