Major automakers have made significant progress in developing their own intelligent driving features. Tesla was the first to achieve BEV+Transformer technology in July 2021 and made a breakthrough in integrated end-to-end technology in December 2023. Domestic automakers such as Huawei, Li Auto, and XPeng are also rapidly catching up, achieving related technologies at different time points, and are expected to launch more innovative technologies in the coming years
Guangfa Securities:
In July 2021, Tesla was the first to achieve BEV + Transformer technology, successfully launching the occupancy network in August 2022, and achieving an integrated end-to-end technological breakthrough in December 2023. Domestic car manufacturers are quickly catching up in intelligent driving algorithm capabilities.
Huawei achieved BEV + Transformer in May 2022, introduced the occupancy network in April 2023, and plans to launch segmented end-to-end technology in August 2024. Its integrated end-to-end technology is currently under research and is expected to be mass-produced in 2025.
Li Auto achieved BEV + Transformer in June 2022, applied the occupancy network in April 2023, launched segmented end-to-end technology in June of the same year, and plans to launch the VLM model in July 2024.
XPeng achieved BEV + Transformer in September 2022, realized the occupancy network in October 2023, and plans to launch segmented end-to-end technology in May 2024. Its integrated end-to-end technology is currently under research.
Other car manufacturers are also rapidly iterating.
