The annual AWE2025 (China Household Appliances and Consumer Electronics Expo) is in full swing, and AI has undoubtedly become the biggest highlight for home appliance companies this year.
At this AWE, TCL made its debut at a domestic exhibition as an "Olympic Global Partner," showcasing a full range of smart terminal products from TCL Industries, including the world's first split-type AI companion robot, TCL Ai Me, which also made its first appearance at a domestic exhibition.
Robots are currently at the forefront of innovation, and TCL Ai Me has undoubtedly become a captivating presence.
It is reported that Ai Me can engage in multimodal natural interactions with people, providing warm emotional companionship and human-like interactions. It can also achieve intelligent mobile tracking and automatically capture beautiful moments at home.
Of course, this AI companion robot is just a "small appetizer"; the real "main course" consists of televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, smartphones, AR glasses, and more, all empowered by AI.
On the opening day of AWE, TCL officially launched the TCL AI Super Drum Washing and Drying Machine T7R Pro, which achieves an ultra-high cleaning ratio of 1.31 through AI Super Drum technology. It has also collaborated with the Minions IP to redesign the machine's appearance, adding a playful and personalized touch.
According to reports, the TCL T7R Pro is equipped with TCL's Fuxi AI large model, which has a training database of tens of billions and a self-developed quantum supercomputing platform that leads the industry in data throughput by 25%. It can generate 4,320 parameter combinations per second, providing efficient washing solutions regardless of fabric material or stain type.
Lu Chunshui, President of TCL Industries in China, pointed out that the TCL smart terminal business group has been actively exploring the AI field. The TCL T7R Pro is based on the Fuxi AI large model and DeepSeek's real-time reasoning capabilities, generating personalized smart laundry solutions that differ completely from the fixed programs of all previously seen washing machines.
Lu Chunshui stated that TCL refrigerators are also based on the Fuxi AI large model, having developed AI energy-saving and noise-reduction features. By intelligently recognizing the operating environment and status of the device, combined with a deep understanding of user habits, it achieves adaptive optimization of defrosting and compressor frequency, allowing the refrigerator to maintain food freshness and control energy consumption at unprecedented levels.
In addition, TCL's newly released Xiaolan Wing C7 fresh air air conditioner, based on its TCL AI large platform and DeepSeek's deep empowerment, can adaptively learn and reason through new environmental and device perception, capturing changes in consumer environments and the consumers themselves more sensitively, complemented by automated decision-making to intelligently adjust the most comfortable and healthy air quality.
Currently, major home appliances are generally facing growth bottlenecks, and the empowerment brought by AI is expected to stimulate a new wave of purchasing demand. TCL has long recognized this and has already sounded the AI battle drum In December last year, at the 2024 TCL Global Technology Innovation Conference, TCL launched the "TCL All-Domain All-Scenario AI Application Solution," which includes five innovative application practices: AI intelligent operation, AI simulation, Xiao T central control large model, AI movie production, and Xingzhi X-Intelligence 2.0.
TCL's CTO and head of the TCL Industrial Research Institute, Yan Xiaolin, pointed out that AI applications at TCL are ubiquitous, spanning from B-end to C-end, from research and development, manufacturing to operations, and from interaction, picture quality to platforms.
It is reported that in 2024, TCL aims to create an economic benefit of 540 million yuan by promoting the implementation of AI applications.
Regarding the specific AI+ terminal strategy, Lu Chunshui revealed that TCL will closely integrate open-source AI technology with self-developed technology. Since TCL has many terminal products, it aims to develop AI in a more concrete and practical application scenario by leveraging its accumulated data based on consumer understanding and actual product needs.
After the emergence of DeepSeek, 2025 is recognized as the year of AI application explosion, and AI home appliances are also expected to achieve further breakthroughs. For TCL, which aims to maintain its leading position in home appliances and further expand market space, this is an important opportunity that must be seized
